Women and stroke: What you need to know

According to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 89% of women are not aware of their unique risk factors. This is important as stroke disproportionately affects women, resulting in worse outcomes and higher mortality rates. In this 2-minute video, Dr. Ada Tang, Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Science, explains the various factors that affect women throughout their lifespan and some of the challenges they face when recovering.
